This style was created in 1850 as a hard hat for horseback riding while patrolling a game reserve by an English warden. In that tradition, this Jaxon version of the bowler is a little stiffer than its competitors. The 100% wool felt quality is impressive and the hat comes fully lined with the Jaxon logo in the tips. The hat is trimmed with a black grosgrain ribbon with a bow finish and side feather. The brim’s edge in bound in the same black grosgrain. This hat is a beauty.
